Why is GWIL beneficial for Gustavus Women?
GWIL is beneficial to Gustavus women because it focuses on the skills that are not taught in the classroom but can make or break one’s career. Members of GWIL learn how to present themselves in a professional manner through educational events and networking with Gustavus alumnae.
What do you think other women should know about GWIL?
Although the organization focuses mostly on the business world, the skills and lessons that GWIL teaches its members are applicable to any field and students of all majors are welcome to join. Over 15 different majors are represented in our student chapter, which will bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the organization.
What does leadership mean to you?
To me, leadership means being able to work with and guide others towards a common goal. Strong leaders are open-minded and are able to effectively communicate with their peers.
