Anissa Mediger
Anissa Mediger is a shareholder at one of the oldest law firms in St. Paul, Murnane Brandt. Anissa is a 1994 graduate of Gustavus majoring in geology and history and received her J.D. in 1997. Ms. Mediger represents clients both on a local and national level in the areas of toxic tort and environmental law. She has been selected as Super Lawyers® – Rising Stars by her peers in the legal profession recognizing top lawyers age 40 or under from 2005 to 2012.
What is one piece of advice you can give students that can help them develop their own leadership skills?
Do not be afraid to make your own opportunities. You are your own best advocate and as a result, put yourself out there and find unique opportunities to showcase your talents.
What is the best piece of advice you were given to help you develop your own leadership skill?
Get out of my way! It’s so simple but so true. Stop worrying about what others think or say about you and instead adopt the internal mantra – GET OUT OF MY WAY.
